Interest Rate Gridlock

The bond market continued its askance trading pattern on Friday while next week offers suffrage via the FMOC assembly to influence market rates. I do miss Alan Greenspan.

The current Fed chairman Ben S. Bernanke, was touched by the shadow of former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, the patron saint of low inflation, during a Charlie Rose’s www.charlierose.com interview, October 16.

Against this week’s Barron’s magazine cover story pronouncing Republicans retaining control of both houses in Congress, various polling still shows support for the current government slip sliding away with only three Tuesdays remaining before Election Day.

The President said we will not leave Iraq before he leaves office. The top General on the ground said a new direction is needed. The Vice-President said Iraq is going fine. A US ambassador said we lost an opportunity in the Middle East. The Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said we are lucky to have the Secretary of Defense.

I close my eyes and I see the title and I hear the Chicago Transit Authority band song: Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?
